Disclaimer — A non-apology

If you’re reading this, it’s because I promised I’d be writing about the stuff I watch and my thoughts thereof. So first off, let me say thank you. I appreciate your time and investment of valuable attention. Especially since, who reads anymore anyways? I know I don’t. That’s why I’m writing about movies and tv shows that I’m only half-watching as I do my day job at my computer. Oh boy. I can see we’re off to a good start here… let’s keep going.

As I stated, with this series, I’m going to be writing my musings about movies and TV shows I watch as I work. I sometimes watch between 1–3 movies per day as I’m building my cool Snapchat lenses. And often I feel like it would be cool to talk about what I’ve seen with other people — or at least create posts about them here. Will I be distracted and miss things as I watch? Sure. Will I be watching mostly mindless movies that I can have running in the background and won’t require too much cognitive overhead to track what’s going on? You better believe it. Does the list of movies I plan to watch consist largely of horror or shlocky action movies that have sex, violence and backwards attitudes about everyone who isn’t a white male? Yep. Needless to say, viewer discretion advised. Check the rating before you watch any of the movies I’m talking about. And finally, will I be spoiling plot points and endings of the movies I see? Yeah, I’m gonna do that. Don’t read if you don’t want to know.

And for all of the above I do not offer a humble and sincere apology. I didn’t make these movies, I’m just watching them and sharing my thoughts and jokes about them. And this really is meant to be fun.

A couple of housekeeping items. I love comments. Please share your thoughts and insights. Especially if you’ve seen the movie. But no need to get nasty or be a jerk — to me or anyone else. We’re friends here.

For those interested, I’ve got subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Disney+, Paramount +, and Shudder. So I’ll be most likely watching movies and shows from these services.

Any other thoughts or questions… maybe even suggestions? Let me know. Thanks!
